Axel Johnson International strengthens vehicle components offering in the Nordics

Axel Johnson International’s business group Transport Solutions strengthens its position by the acquisition of Ab Transcomponent Finland Ltd (TransComponent), a leading manufacturer of products and accessories for heavy vehicles in the Nordic market.

TransComponent is a family business founded in 1996 and located in Närpes in the Swedish-speaking part of Österbotten in Finland. The company with its 20 employees, manufactures and sells boxes for trucks and trailers. TransComponent has a long history and experience in the industry starting as a branch within BotniaTerm that has been manufacturing boxes since the 80s. The primary customers are bodybuilders in Finland and Sweden, the main products are toolboxes and spare-tyre boxes sold under the BT brand.
